These terms govern your use of Padel Lobster: the apps and websites we build for padel clubs, including each club's site (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who provides what
Padel Lobster provides the software. Your club runs its own leaderboards, sets their rules, manages its members and decides who can take part. Questions about your club's rules, results or membership go to your club. We are not a party to anything between you and your club, such as fees, court bookings or membership terms.
2. Your account
You need an account with a club to use its site. Accounts are per club: an account at one club does not give access to another. Give accurate details, keep your sign-in secure and tell your club or us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be 18 or older, or have a parent's or guardian's consent given through your club.
3. Using the Service fairly
Report scores honestly, respond to challenges in good faith and treat other members with respect. Do not misuse invite links, impersonate others, harass anyone, try to access other clubs' or members' information, interfere with the Service, or use it for anything unlawful. Your club or we may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.
4. Clubs
Club owners and staff who set up a club confirm they are authorised to act for it. The club is responsible for its members' information that it collects or imports (for example from Playtomic), for having a lawful basis to use it, for the content it publishes (including its rules, names and logos) and for following the laws that apply to it.
5. Playing padel
The Service helps organise matches; it does not organise or supervise play. You take part in matches at your own risk. We are not responsible for injuries, damage, disputes between players, court bookings or anything that happens on or off court. Rankings and results are kept for fun and club organisation and may be corrected by your club.
6. Messages
We send messages you need to use the Service, such as sign-in links, partner invites and challenge alerts, by email and, if you turn it on, by WhatsApp. You can turn WhatsApp messages off at any time; we do not send marketing messages without your consent. Standard data or messaging charges from your provider may apply.
7. Third-party services
Parts of the Service rely on others, such as Playtomic, Google sign-in and WhatsApp. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their availability or accuracy.
8. Ownership
We own the Service and its software and design. Clubs keep the rights to their names, logos and content, and give us permission to use them to run the club's site. You keep your own information; you give us and your club permission to use what you add (such as scores and messages) to run the Service.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and secure, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend or stop features, and may update these terms. We will post changes here with a new date and tell you about significant changes; using the Service after that means you accept them.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost profits, or harm arising from matches, other members or third-party services, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which for players is usually nothing). Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act or other laws that cannot be excluded.
11. Ending your account
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask your club or us to delete your account. Your club can remove you as a member. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or the law requires it. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as ownership and liability) still apply afterwards.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and its courts have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
